Our ballpoint pen is the result of our fascination for fine mechanics. In consequence, it is manufactured with the same materials and the same processes as our mechanical pendulum clocks. That means that all pieces of the pen are handmade by high-precision milling or turning of brass for the corpus and stainless-steel for the push-screw. Mechanical junctions (screw and gliding) receive minimal clearance. No piece has been obtained by stamping sheet-iron, injecting plastics or others. All pieces are made by good old fashioned hand-finishing and polishing. The brass-elements get a triple coating with copper, nickel and 24 karat Gold or Palladium for the Bicolor-version.

The inner mechanism of the pen is gold-coated and shows the high quality of this product. The clip is composed of five elements and represents our trade mark. At the top the number of the pen is engraved. The push-button is styled like the screws used to assemble our famous clocks. Selfunderstood, all masterpieces are assembled by hand. Each pen weighs 39 gramms. Write with Le Stylographe and experience the wonderful feeling by holding such an elegant writing instrument in your hand. Fragile delicate looks on the outside. Solid workmanship on the inside.

Le Stylographe is shipped in a solid metal box which has been milled out of a massive bar of aluminium. The absolutely plane surface has been produced by diamond tools. After chroming, a blue velvet inlay is affixed on the inside to assure an effective protection for the pen. The box cover has a light velvet but glossy surface and together with the chrome box, Le Stylographe receives the exclusive setting it deserves. On demand, the box cover can be engraved with the owners name. The weight of the metal block is 100 gramms.

All pens have a consecutive number to make it unique. The pen accepts a standard cartridge. A very exclusive grey carton box with embossed Philippe Wurtz logo encloses the metal box. All pens are hand-made by Philippe Wurtz.
